The curatorial concept draws inspiration from the phonetics of the Southern Min word for “to see” — transforming khòaⁿ (看, “to look”) into 跨 (“to cross”), and kìⁿ (見, “to glimpse”) into 鏡 (“mirror”). Bringing together artists from nine countries — Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Israel, the United States, Canada, and Germany — the program unfolds through dance and interdisciplinary practices as a series of dialogues: between the body and the other, the real and the virtual, technology and life.
The visual identity seeks to express more than the act of watching dance. It explores how bodies, through artistic exchange across borders and disciplines, can continually transform into new and plural possibilities. Inspired by figure drawing, the visual language reconstructs and fragments bodily forms to capture the shifting states of movement and flow. Rather than offering a fixed definition of the body, the imagery invites viewers into a process of constant transition and transformation — echoing the project’s vision of plural bodies, layered perspectives, and interdisciplinary encounters as a contemporary visual language. The gestural quality of sketching also extends into the logotype design, allowing typography and imagery to share the same fluid sense of motion.
